Hey everyone! I'm just posting to give you all some information that I thought would be useful.
Now, the RPG has days, seasons, and years (obviously). Each day in the RPG lasts one day in the real world. Each season lasts one month. Each year lasts four months. Sounds simple enough, right? If not, just PM/Email/IM me and I'll explain this more thoroughly.
As to what time zone this goes by, that is another thing that is about to be revealed. The RPG goes by (US) Eastern Standard. You must remember, as well as follow that time so that neither you, nor any other member, gets confused. To remember this, I would reccomend setting the time shown at the top of the site to Eastern Standard if it is not set like that already.
In order to keep all of the RPers from getting confused, you must put all of that information together. You can't just decide that you want to end the current day and start the next one just because you're bored. That is not permitted. If you want to start the next day of the RPG, then you'll just have to wait one day in the real world just like everyone else.
Now, whether it's at 7AM or 3PM, your first post of the day is when your character either wakes up, or does something worth posting. With your first post of the day, it always has to be in the thread that contains your residence. If you want your character to go to another area for your next post, then you would have to say in your current post that your character is leaving that area and going to another.
EX: ...Belle then picked up her knapsack, left her house, and walked off towards the forest.
Now, your last post of the day is basically the the same as your first post of the day, only that with the last post, it is to have your character fall asleep in his/her bed until the next day. However, if you have to leave your computer in the middle of the day, and you believe that you won't be coming back on until the next day, then you just have your character go to his/her house. Also, if you are leaving the computer for a bit, but you WILL be coming back later that day, then you can either have your character go home, or post that you will be back later snd just leave your character there. (I would reccomend the first one)
EX1: Sleepily, Jackie rolled over in her bed an shut off the raging alarm clock. She got out of bed, yawned and stretched a bit. She then walked over to her wardrobe, took out some clothes and dressed...
EX2: Ryan opened the front door and slowly walked in. He put his bag on the chair and headed for his bed. He picked up his pajamas and changed. He then got into bed, curled up under the covers, and fell into a deep sleep.
EX3: John walked over to the nearest bench and sat down. He opened his backpack, pulled out his notebook, and began to write more of his story. OOC: I've got to go. I'll be back soon!
For those of you who don't know, OOC means Out Of Character. You type OOC in front of something you want to say to another member, but not through your character. I, however, do not want to see posts that only contain OOC conversations. That type of posting in the RPG section is considered spam, or unneeded posting. When you use OOC, you MUST post something that your character does as well.
I believe that's all I need to say for now. If not, then I'll add on later. Have fun RPing everyone!
